At A.C.E Child Care Centre, our programs are designed to nurture the whole child — physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. We recognise that children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
Our educators use both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) to guide children’s play and learning. These frameworks set the highest expectations for every child’s learning and development from birth to school age.
The five EYLF Learning Outcomes shape our curriculum and daily interactions:
- Children have a strong sense of identity
- Children are connected with and contribute to their world
- Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
- Children are confident and involved learners
- Children are effective communicators
Our programs are responsive to each child’s interests, strengths, and developmental stage, ensuring that every child is supported to reach their fullest potential in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Learning Through Play
Play is the foundation of our curriculum. It enables children to make sense of their world, express themselves, and develop essential lifelong skills. Through play, children:
- Build social and cultural understanding
- Express thoughts, feelings, and creativity
- Develop language, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Learn to problem-solve, negotiate, and think flexibly
- Strengthen physical coordination and wellbeing
Inspiring Experiences and Incursions
To enrich our program, we welcome a range of special visitors and incursions, including theatre groups, animal encounters, music groups, mobile farms, and Indigenous cultural experiences. These hands-on experiences spark curiosity, extend learning, and create meaningful opportunities for children to connect their classroom experiences with the world around them.

Mixed Age Grouping
While children are grouped by age in our Babies, Toddlers, and Kindergarten rooms, we also provide mixed-age opportunities throughout the day.
These interactions allow:
- Older children to take on leadership and mentoring roles
- Younger children to learn through observation and imitation
- Siblings to play and connect together
- All children to develop empathy, patience, and social confidence
This approach fosters a family-like atmosphere, supporting children’s development of social skills and emotional intelligence.
Growing Confident, Capable Learners
At A.C.E Child Care Centre, we believe learning is a journey shared between children, families, and educators.
By creating responsive, engaging environments and nurturing trusting relationships, we help each child build the confidence, curiosity, and independence they’ll carry into school and beyond.
