A.C.E child Care Centre is a family run
business, owned and operated by Diana and Elena Giasoumi.
 |
Diana Giasoumi has completed both a
Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) and a Bachelor of Education at Melbourne
University. Diana is the teacher in the kindergarten room providing an
educational program for the three to five year olds. Diana has extensive
experience, not only since opening the centre in 1994, prior to that at a
variety of 3 year old and 4 year old kindergartens. |

Elena Giasoumi has
completed the Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) at Melbourne
University and is room leader of both the babies and toddler rooms. Prior
to the opening of the centre, Elena was working as an integration aide,
helping children with extreme behavioural difficulties assimilate in a
traditional kindergarten setting. |

Lenia Giasoumi is the cook at the child
care centre and has completed numerous Food Handler’s Courses to ensure that
the highest level of food hygiene is maintained at all times. Lenia has also
completed a Diploma Of Community Services (Children’s Services), and also
works with the babies and toddlers.

All staff are encouraged to complete
courses and further training to improve their professional knowledge about child
development. Currently one staff member is undertaking further study to obtain
her Diploma Of Community Services (Children’s Services). There are a total of
seven staff members at A.C.E Child Care Centre and the focus is on teamwork and
providing continuity of care for each child. |
